For nearly two decades, Ms. Weston has provided aggressive and knowledgeable defense of healthcare providers in malpractice cases in state court, federal court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.  She also has a wide breadth of experience advocating for her clients in premises liability cases, commercial litigation, products liability cases, appellate matters, and civil sexual assault and harassment cases.

As part of our well-rounded team, Ms. Weston excels in investigation and drafting.  Her well-researched and factually supported briefing has repeatedly resulted in disposition without trial, or limiting of the scope of cases.  Her briefing in discovery matters has preserved her clients’ rights to obtain certain discovery from opposing parties, as well as protected her clients from intrusive and impermissible discovery.  Trial documents she has drafted have excluded prejudicial evidence, and assisted in succinct presentation of facts and law for courts and arbitrators, leading to excellent outcomes for clients. 

Of recent note, appellate briefing drafted by Ms. Weston resulted in the Court of Appeals emphatically affirming the trial court’s confirmation of an arbitration award rendered in favor of her clients, and ordering recovery of costs of appeal.

Ms. Weston is admitted to practice in California state courts, the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

In her free time, Ms. Weston enjoys volunteering with her sons’ Little League teams, gardening, working on cars, and bracket racing.
