Priscilla P. DeGois

Founding Partner

For over two decades, Ms. DeGois has zealously and successfully defended health care providers in diverse settings, including medical negligence actions, elder and dependent adult abuse claims, and professional licensing board investigations. Her broad experience includes averting lawsuits by executing effective pre-litigation strategies, prevailing on dispositive motions in both state and federal court, achieving defense verdicts at trial, and successfully advocating her clients’ interests on appeal.

Ms. DeGois recognizes client engagement and collaboration are essential to devising and executing successful defense strategies. In that regard, she prioritizes open, timely, and continuous communication with her clients. Throughout her career, this approach has unfailingly fostered strong client relationships founded on shared goals, mutual respect, and trust.

Recent Jury Trial Victories:

May 2025: 11-1 defense verdict in favor of an orthopedic surgeon in a case brought by a plaintiff alleging over $2 million in damages following hip replacement and revision surgery

July 2024: 12-0 defense verdict in favor of a hospitalist in an elder abuse and wrongful death action

January 2022: 11-1 defense verdict in favor of a trauma surgeon in a case involving emergency abdominal surgery

March 2019: 12-0 defense verdict in favor of a urologist in a case involving an impalement injury and over $3 million in alleged damages

In her free time, Ms. DeGois enjoys staying active and competing in the Industrial Volleyball League, perpetually working on a better golf swing, and cheering on her beloved Bay Area WNBA and NBA teams. GO VALKS & DUBS!
